Job summary

Van Drunen Farms is seeking a dedicated custodial teammate to support facility cleanliness on the 1st shift (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday) in Manteno, IL. You will perform cleaning and sanitation tasks, operate floor scrubbers and balers, and follow schedules to maintain a safe, organized environment.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of custodial experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to follow safety procedures with cleaning chemicals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of custodial, janitorial, or related experience.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work with cleaning chemicals responsibly.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to complete tasks independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between local facilities as needed.
• Basic English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks across the facility to maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized environment.
• Operate equipment such as cardboard balers and riding floor scrubbers to support daily cleaning routines.
• Follow established cleaning schedules, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and surface sanitation.
• Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance or repair needs to supervisors in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleaning supplies, organize equipment, and ensure proper use of cleaning materials and safety signage.
• Empty trash, replenish restroom supplies, and maintain accurate cleaning logs and documentation.
