Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Jackson, Mississippi seeks an experienced forklift operator to support our equipment and material handling operations in a manufacturing/retail distribution environment.

You will position forks, transport materials, unload and stack items, and inventory materials on the yard. Maintain a clean, safe yard and work area, and ensure customers are loaded on schedule with minimal supervision, following all safety policies and procedures. Excellent customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing/retail distribution environment.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Position forks, lifting platform or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products or materials
• Transport materials to designated area
• Unload and stack materials
• Inventory materials on yard
• Maintain yard and work area in a clean and safe manner
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision in ensuring customers are loaded as scheduled without undue delay
