Job summary

InterChange Group, Inc. is hiring a Forklift Operator for the Harrisonburg, VA area to support dry warehouse operations on 12-hour shifts. The role requires standing and operating Raymond forklifts and dock loaders to safely receive, store, and ship food products and packaging materials.

Compensation ranges from $19.15 to $21.90 per hour with rotating day and night shifts and weekends on a rotating basis. Pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year sit down forklift experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with RFID
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems
• Strong teamwork skills
• Self-motivator
• Must be able to work overtime, days and/or evenings and weekends.
• Ability to read numbers and labels
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and meet deadlines
• Ability to safely lift up to 60 lbs. frequently

Responsibilities

• Promote safe work environment through personal actions
• Load and unload trucks and containers using equipment provided in safe and efficient manner
• Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage
• Take inventory as needed
• Direct product to correct area in warehouse
• Clear work area of loose wood and plastic, sweep area as needed
• Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor
• Other duties as assigned

Location: Harrisonburg, CPAD8 Dry Warehouse

Overview: Under general supervision, Lift Truck Operator will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products and/or packaging materials utilizing equipment including, but not limited to, Raymond stand up forklifts, Raymond stand up dock loaders and various sit down LP trucks.

12 Hrs. Day Shift- 5:00am - 5:00pm *** Rotating Shift, Work Every other Weekend***

12 Hrs. Night Shift- 5:00 pm - 5:00 am *** Rotating Shift, Work Every other Weekend***
