Job summary

interchangegroup in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a Lift Truck Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products and packaging materials using Raymond stand up forklifts and LP trucks. You will be responsible for loading/unloading, inventory, and safe operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of sit-down forklift experience, RFID and WMS familiarity, strong teamwork, and willingness to work overtime, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year sit-down forklift experience in warehousing/manufacturing.
• Familiarity with RFID technologies is preferred.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills required.
• Self-motivated with ability to work overtime, including weekends.
• Ability to read numbers/labels and work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and containers using provided equipment safely.
• Promote a safe work environment through personal actions.
• Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage.
• Take inventory as needed and direct product to correct areas.
• Clear work area of debris and sweep as needed.
• Report faulty equipment, rack damage, and hazards to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Hours Available:

12 Hrs. Day Shift - 5:00 am - 5:00 pm *** Rotating Shift, Work Every other Weekend ***

12 Hrs. Night Shift - 5:00 pm - 5:00 am *** Rotating Shift, Work Every other Weekend ***

Overview: Under general supervision, Lift Truck Operator will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products and/or packaging materials utilizing equipment including, but not limited to, Raymond stand up forklifts, Raymond stand up dock loaders and various sit down LP trucks.

Compensation: $19.15 to $21.90 / hour

Location:Harrisonburg, CPAD8 Dry Warehouse

Responsibilities:

• Promote safe work environment through personal actions
• Load and unload trucks and containers using equipment provided in safe and efficient manner
• Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage
• Take inventory as needed
• Direct product to correct area in warehouse
• Clear work area of loose wood and plastic, sweep area as needed
• Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor
• Other duties as assigned
