Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking Forklift Operators/Dock Workers to support our regional distribution network. You will operate material handling equipment, record shipment details, and manage related paperwork to ensure accurate deliveries.

Candidates should have forklift experience, basic English, and 1)6 months to 1 year of warehouse work; 2) familiarity with pallet jacks and hand trucks. Overtime, holiday pay, and 401(k) match are included benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Basic English proficiency required.
• Experience with LTL operations preferred.
• Ability to communicate positively with customers, coworkers and dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment competently.
• Record counts and conditions of shipments to minimize cargo claims.
• Manage paperwork: delivery receipts, bills of lading, manifests, freight counts, hazardous materials handling.
• Regroup shipments as needed.
• Meet reliability standards and be dependable.
• Work various shifts as needed.
