Owens Corning is seeking a forklift operator for the North Platte plant to transport product and materials within the facility, ensuring safety and efficiency. The role requires operating a forklift, performing pre-shift checks, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and prior forklift experience in manufacturing, with strong teamwork and the ability to multi-task. 1st shift is Monday-Thursday, with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior forklift operation in manufacturing environment.
• Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities.
• Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Work independently, as well as part of a team, and have shift flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently transport product, raw materials within the plant.
• Sawdust handling and trash removal coordination with outside companies.
• Conduct pre-shift forklift inspections for safety and compliance.
• Provide safe operation of forklift and follow safety rules.
• Work extended hours and overtime as needed.
• Replace pallets/runners to maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain a safe and clean work space; perform other duties as assigned.
