FedEx Supply Chain is seeking a Forklift Operator I for a Sunday - Tuesday 2nd Shift (Afternoon/Evening) in Indiana. You will safely operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts and electric pallet jacks to receive, store, and fulfill orders, while ensuring product safety, quality, and accuracy throughout the distribution process.

You will participate in daily equipment checks, maintain location accuracy, and adhere to OSHA safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate powered basic material handling equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret information.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyors.
• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks for material movement.
• Sort and build pallets to meet customer expectations.
• Apply shrink wrap to pallets using machinery.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine inventory tasks.
• Maintain accuracy of storage locations and conduct cycle counts.
• Follow OSHA safety rules and company policies.
• Execute additional duties as needed by business demand.

Sunday - Tuesday - 2nd Shift (Afternoon/Evening)

Forklift Operator 1

Position Summary

The Forklift Operator I is primarily responsible for safely operating basic powered material handling equipment including Sit-Down/Stand Up Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack for the purpose of product receipt, storage and order fulfillment. This position is responsible for product safety, quality, legality and integrity.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading of pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines, by hand or equipment
• Safely loading/unloading, transporting, and stacking materials using forklifts
• Sorting and building products to pallets to ensure compliance with customer expectations
• Use machinery to apply shrink wrap to pallet
• Quality control to ensure accuracy of all transactions
• Performing daily equipment inspections for maintenance
• Maintain accuracy of storage locations by performing daily cycle counts and routine inventory maintenance tasks
• Perform other distribution work functions as needed due to business volume and need
• Adhering to strict OSHA safety rules
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to operate powered basic material handling equipment, i.e. electric pallet jack and Stand-up/Sit down forklift
• Must meet all PPE requirements
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and coordination
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Customer service driven
• Strong team player
