Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is hiring a Forklift Operator in Garland, Texas to efficiently move palletized freight on a freight dock. You will operate forklift and pallet jack, load and unload trailers, and use handheld devices to scan shipments.

Expect a non climate-controlled dock and safety-focused work environment. We offer health insurance from day one, 13 days of PTO in the first year, nine company holidays, a 401(k) with company match, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to perform basic math calculations, with or without a calculator.
• Available to work a variety of shifts due to varying freight volumes, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies.
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
• Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods.
