Job summary

XPO is hiring a Forklift Operator to join our dock operations in the United States. You will sort, load and unload freight, operate pallet jacks and forklifts, and ensure safe, accurate handling of cargo on a busy dock environment.

The role requires 18+ years old, basic math ability, and flexibility to work days, evenings, nights and weekends. We offer health insurance, PTO, holidays and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Able to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Available to work a variety of shifts due to varying freight volumes, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry is a plus.
• Forklift experience in a freight or LTL environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use pallet jacks, forklifts and other equipment as needed.
• Secure freight inside trailers using proper tools and supplies.
• Follow safety policies and work on a dock that may not be climate-controlled.
• Use handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
