Job summary

Carolina Beverage Group, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Associate responsible for safe shipping and receiving of raw materials and finished goods in a fast-paced beverage facility in Mooresville, NC. You will operate sit-down forklift, assist with FEFO/FIFO inventory, and ensure accurate counts and proper labeling.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret in English.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate records with math and science skills.
• 1-3 years Warehouse/Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates equipment as stated by GMPs and Safety protocols.
• Assist in setting up and control of FEFO/FIFO Inventory System to ensure uninterrupted flow of product.
• Models loads and paperwork handling best practices.
• Train/mentor new hires as assigned by Supervisors.
• Ensure production has the correct packaging for the day.
• Keep accurate count of finished product.
• Verify product labeling with date code, pallet number, state, on hold, etc.
• Submit daily counts to office at end of each shift.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with other personnel.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor/customer.
• Adhere to GMPs and quality production/food safety.

Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating shifts (work 15 days a month!)

Summary

This position is responsible for the safe shipping and receiving of all raw materials and finished goods that are received.

What You Will Be Doing

• Safely operates equipment as stated by company GMP’s and Safety protocols.
• Assist in setting up and control of FEFO/FIFO Inventory System to ensure uninterrupted flow of product and materials to the various departments of the company as requested.
• Models loads and paperwork handling best practices
• Train/mentor new hires as assigned by Supervisors
• Makes sure production has the correct packaging for the day.
• Keeps accurate count of finished product.
• Verifying product is properly labeled with date code, pallet number, state, on hold, etc.
• Submits daily counts to office at the end of each shift.
• Maintains a clean and organized warehouse.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with other personnel.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or required by supervisor\customer.
• Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in Employee Handbook.
• Adhere to and comply with quality production and Food Safety.

What You Need to Bring

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret in English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records with math and science skills
• 1-3 years Warehouse/Forklift experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems
• Experience with GMP and/or HACCP regulations

Job Setting

This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Employees will experience varying physical demands throughout the day, including standing for extended periods, walking on occasionally slippery floors, and handling equipment or materials.

Due to the nature of the facility, temperatures may fluctuate based on outside weather conditions including heat and cold.

The work environment can be loud, and hearing protection (ear plugs) is required. Additionally, to ensure safety and hygiene, employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry while on the production floor.

Alcohol is an ingredient in products we produce. We are unable to guarantee specific positions, work schedules or work environments that do not include working around alcohol.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
• This position is required to operate a sit down forklift for the entire shift.
• Periodic standing on hard surfaces.
• Vision required: distance, close, color, peripheral and depth perception
• Frequently required to stand, talk or hear, use hands to finger, feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
• Works in a production and warehouse environment, including forklifts, equipment, and damp floors
• Frequently exposed to working near mechanical parts and exposed to vibration.
