Job summary

Americold in Sumter, SC is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely receive, store, and ship food products using sit-down and stand-up forklifts and RF scanners. You will help move products to storage, ensure accuracy, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, stacking, picking orders, and performing inventory tasks while following OSHA standards and temperature-controlled protocols. This is an on-site role requiring reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, label, sort, wrap, and repack as directed by management.
• In compliance with OSHA standards, operate equipment safely.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Assist with inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes as needed.
