Job summary

Steel & Pipe Supply in Houston is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to operate a 36,000–70,000 lb forklift, pull materials (coils) and stage for production, and load/unload trucks. You will perform daily equipment inspections, record results, and report any issues to be scheduled for repair.

The role requires 3+ years of forklift experience, experience with coils and mill work, valid driver's license, and basic math and computer skills.

Qualifications

Must have 3+ years of experience operating forklifts.
Must have 2+ years of experience in loading/unloading Coils, Channels, Beams, and Mill Plate.
Must have experience in unloading and loading railcars.
Valid driver's license.
18+ years old.
Basic math skills.
Basic literacy for reading instructions and using hand tools.
Basic computer skills.
Prefer experience using machinery and forklift.

Responsibilities

Operate a 36,000–70,000 lb forklift and stage coils for production.
Pull material, load and unload trucks, and assist in loading trailers.
Perform daily forklift inspections and report issues for repair.
Assist other departments with loading/unloading, receiving and tagging inbound coils.
