Job summary

Carpenter Co. in Temple, TX seeks an Operator B for 3rd shift (start time 7:00 PM) to safely operate a forklift/clam lift, transport materials, and support production and shipping targets.

Will work in a temperature-variable plant/warehouse environment with emphasis on communication with supervision and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe workspace, recharging batteries, and obtaining forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand labeling process and read/write English.
• Must be able to operate a forklift in confined areas with other people around.
• Must obtain Carpenter Co. Forklift Certification.
• Commit to maintaining a neat, safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Transport unfinished or finished products or materials to designated locations to meet production/shipping schedules.
• Operate forklift safely in plant/warehouse environments with other forklifts and staff nearby.
• Recharge forklift batteries and propane tanks as instructed.
• Follow safe stacking policy and restricted area rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
