Amcor is seeking a Warehouse/Forklift Operator to support safe and efficient loading, unloading, and movement of materials near the plant. The role uses SAP for product tagging and requires 12-hour shift flexibility in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification, and at least 2 years of forklift experience. English proficiency and math skills are essential for accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training a plus.
  • Forklift certification and prior manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience operating sit-down forklifts.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English; basic math skills.
  • Ability to work across all shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a sit-down forklift safely for long shifts (up to 12 hours).
  • Supply raw materials to production as needed.
  • Move finished goods and label pallets; store properly in warehouse.
  • Use SAP to tag finished product and track material needs.
  • Stack, organize and maintain neat warehouse areas.
  • Be flexible to changes in duties as production requires.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.

Responsible for the safe & quality operation and proficient understanding of loading, unloading, and moving raw materials within or near plant, and regrinds scrap product.

  • Abides by all Amcor’s Safety and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Operate a sit-down forklift in a safe, but proficient manner; must be able to do so for a 12-hour period.
  • Supply necessary raw materials to production as needed.
  • Remove finished goods from production area and put production tickets on pallets and store in proper place in warehouse.
  • Operate SAP Computer System in order to tag finished product and be knowledgeable of what material is needed.
  • Stack finished product in warehouse in a neat manner.
  • Must be flexible and able to work any shift.
  • Must be able and willing to work in a fast-paced environment that can change instantly.
  • Must be able to work safely in a very tight production area and wear safety equipment, personal protective equipment, as required in the area or to perform specific job duties.
  • Must be willingly accept any other duties/changes to position to fit the needs for production as requested by Shift Supervisor.
  • Must be able to operate other types of equipment and machinery.
  • Knowledge of dock door/levelers/locks and dock operations.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED. Some post-secondary education preferred (i.e., Technical or Vocational education)
  • Forklift certification and previous work experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • 2 years of forklift experience required; sit down forklift experience preferred.
  • Ability to recognize and understand numbers and values and enters this information into an on-line database accurately. A strong mathematical ability is essential.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to visually distinguish fine variations in color and other visual defects.
  • Proficient hand/eye coordination to operate equipment.
  • Ability to visually and mentally make priority decisions and independent judgment calls based on the situation at hand.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively use a computer and related software.
  • Ability to work all shifts and required overtime.
