Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Material Handler in Dekalb, Illinois to support warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution setting. You will operate a stand-up forklift, perform picking/packing, and assist with shipping/receiving with safety as a priority.

The role offers weekly pay, benefits starting after 30 days, and a three-and-a-half day workweek with a 5:15 am start on Sunday to Tuesday. A positive, team-oriented environment awaits with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping and receiving.
• Operate forklift and assist with cycle counting and auditing.
• Process day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, bills of lading).
• Support maintenance of automated packing system during shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
