Job summary

TAPP Workforce Solutions is hiring experienced Forklift Operators to join a major automotive logistics operation in Smyrna, TN. This position offers 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, with a 2:00 PM–10:30 PM schedule and a temp-to-perm path.

As a forklift operator, you will move parts and materials, load/unload trailers, and support production by ensuring on-time delivery. Safety, certification and reliability are required to earn a permanent role.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift operating experience required.
• Sit-down counterbalance experience required; reach truck experience is a plus.
• Current forklift certification or ability to complete on-site certification.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing or logistics environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Automotive, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down counterbalance forklifts and/or reach trucks to move, stage, and transport automotive parts and materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trailers and containers safely and efficiently.
• Pull and deliver parts to designated line-side and warehouse locations.
• Keep production moving by ensuring materials arrive where they are needed, when they are needed.
• Complete pre-shift forklift inspections and required documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure materials are properly labeled and stored.
• Safely operate equipment in a busy warehouse and production-support environment.
• Follow all required safety procedures, PPE requirements, and site policies.
