We are seeking a Forklift Operator / Material Handler to:

1. Operate power forklift trucks based on written or verbal instructions, drawings, and route cards to transport materials, equipment, die components, and castings to facilitate production.
2. Identify, sort, and transport materials to proper locations; store and retrieve materials; update storage or inventory records.
3. Maintain logs and service records on forklift equipment and report malfunctions to supervisors.
4. Keep the department and work areas orderly.
5. Complete all departmental paperwork accurately, including information on material movement (both computer and handwritten).
6. Perform general labor as needed to support production and material flow.
7. Participate in department work groups.

Requirements include familiarity with forklifts and other material handling equipment, with a current forklift certification preferred or the ability to obtain one. Candidates should have excellent hand-eye coordination, a good understanding of manufacturing material flow, and the ability to follow written and verbal procedures. Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling 50 pounds, and able to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
