Job summary

Tradebe Environmental Services in East Chicago, IN is seeking dependable, hands-on workers for an on-site, full-time role focused on moving and processing materials outdoors. You’ll safely unload trailers, operate forklifts and heavy equipment, and track materials while maintaining daily equipment checks.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus forklift or heavy-equipment experience or willingness to train.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment preferred; training available.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to multitask and work independently or in a small team.
• Basic math, problem-solving, and following procedures.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Unload trailers safely and handle diverse material streams.
• Operate forklifts, excavators, and backhoes to move materials.
• Stage, store, and track drums and materials accurately.
• Prepare materials for processing, including mixing and loading equipment.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Work across multiple areas, balancing tasks and priorities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
