Job summary

Herr Foods Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our North East, MD team. You will drive forklifts, load trailers, pick orders, stack pallets, and move materials through ERP-driven processes in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires ability to perform safety inspections, document findings, and ensure accurate data entry in the ERP system. Prior forklift or warehouse experience is preferred, with a strong work history and English literacy.

• Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Drive a forklift to load trailers, pick orders, palletize, and wrap pallets.
• Position forklifts and transport loads to designated areas.
• Load or unload stacks on pallets and record weights as required.
• Perform safety inspections and report any issues.
• Enter production and inventory data into the ERP system.
• Maintain real-time inventory levels and coordinate replenishments.

• SCHEDULE:
  • 2nd shift - Monday-Friday, 3:30pm-1am
  • 3rd Shift - Sunday- Thursday, 9pm-6am

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

• Driving a forklift, loading trailers, picking orders to palletize, stacking boxes, wrapping pallets, and working with direct ship programs.
• Position forklifts, lifting platforms, or other materials and transport load into the designated area.
• Loads or unloads stacks of materials on pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
• Weighs materials or products and record weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
• Perform safety inspections on forklifts, document the inspection, and submit the inspection report to the supervisor.
• Ensure that manufacturing data is accurately entered and tracked in the ERP system, including production orders, materials, and finished goods.
• Update and maintain ERP records to reflect real-time data, including production status, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
• Enter production and manufacturing data into the ERP system, including raw material consumption, machine usage, labor hours, and quality control data.
• Track inventory levels in real-time and coordinate with the necessary teams to ensure timely material replenishment.
• Other ERP responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

What You Need To Get Started

• Must complete a background and pre-employment drug screen. As well as a preplacement screening which tests the ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.

Job Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a stable work history with good references.
• Prior forklift or warehouse experience is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English.
• Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat and occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, and fumes or airborne particles.
