Job summary

Herr Foods Inc. in North East, MD is seeking a Forklift Operator for 2nd/3rd shift. This full-time role supports the Warehouse department with loading trailers, palletizing orders, and maintaining ERP records.

You will perform forklift operations, conduct safety inspections, enter production data into the ERP system, track inventory in real time, and support continuous material handling. Background check and pre-employment drug screen required; 18+.

Qualifications

• Must complete a background and pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior forklift or warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Driving a forklift, loading trailers, picking orders to palletize, stacking boxes, wrapping pallets, and working with direct ship programs.
• Position forklifts, lifting platforms, or other materials and transport load into the designated area.
• Loads or unloads stacks of materials on pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
• Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
• Perform safety inspections on forklifts, document the inspection, and submit the inspection report to the supervisor.
• Ensure that manufacturing data is accurately entered and tracked in the ERP system, including production orders, materials, and finished goods.
• Update and maintain ERP records to reflect real-time data, including production status, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
• Enter production and manufacturing data into the ERP system, including raw material consumption, machine usage, labor hours, and quality control data.
• Track inventory levels in real-time and coordinate with the necessary teams to ensure timely material replenishment.
• Other ERP responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
