Job summary

Chobani in Norton Shores, Michigan, is seeking a Forklift Operator to move inventory efficiently and safely within the plant. You will support shipping, receiving, and production teams, with emphasis on proper lifting techniques and GMP adherence.

Schedule offers 2nd & 3rd shifts (5,8's + OT). Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification, ability to read measures, and willingness to work overtime in a temperature-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift certification.
• Ability to read and interpret measurement instruments.
• Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime.
• Must pass pre-employment screens (drug, background).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily stage setup.
• Perform daily and weekly forklift and pallet wrapper inspections.
• Verify BOLs.
• Load/Unload inbound and outbound shipments.
• Transport inventory between departments to support production.
• Maintain First in First out inventory process.
• Complete Receiving Forms.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
• Report food safety/quality issues to management.
