Job summary

Grocery Outlet Inc. in Sacramento, CA is hiring a RFC Forklift Operator to support Regional Fulfillment Center operations, moving pallets and loading/unloading trailers.

The role requires 1+ year forklift experience, certification, basic math, and ability to follow safety rules and inventory procedures. The shift is Sunday to Thursday, 3:00pm–11:30pm, with base pay $20 hourly plus a productivity bonus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of forklift experience.
• Forklift certification.
• Physically able to operate stand up reach forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
• Ability to write legibly.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of inventory control and general warehouse procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming stock and materials, pick and fill orders from stock, pack and ship orders, or manage and retrieve stock in the warehouse as directed by WMS.
• Operate and maintain distribution center equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack and count merchandise.
• Ensure machinery is serviced and maintained regularly.
• Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and undamaged.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallets, and workstations neat; sweep, dust, and mop as required.
• Report any discrepancies to supervisors.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
