Job summary

Premier Packaging is seeking a forklift operator for the Pedricktown, NJ facility. The role requires 2nd shift with 3pm–11pm, 40 hours per week and bi‑weekly pay.

You will safely operate forklifts to move corrugated materials, load/unload trucks, and support inventory accuracy and production workflows. The position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Lift up to 25 lbs alone and up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• Experience as forklift operator in manufacturing or warehouse setting (1–3 years).
• Familiarity with sit-down and standing forklifts; forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down/stand-up forklift to move, stack, and transport materials.
• Load/unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
• Transport materials to production areas and assist inventory management.
• Conduct regular counts to ensure accurate inventory.
• Coordinate material movements with supervisors and team members.
• Report production delays or issues affecting schedules.

Shift

• 1st Shift - 7am-3pm, Monday through Friday
• 2nd Shift - 3pm-11pm, Monday through Friday

Expected Hours

• 40 Hours
• Overtime When Needed

Essential Functions

• Safely operate a sit-down and/or stand-up forklift to move, stack, and transport corrugated materials within the manufacturing facility.
• Load and unload corrugated materials from trucks and storage areas using the forklift.
• Transport materials to and from production areas, ensuring timely delivery.
• Assist in the organization and management of inventory within the facility.
• Conduct regular counts and checks to ensure accurate inventory levels.
• Adjust to changes in material handling requirements based on production demands.
• Collaborate with other forklift operators and team members to optimize workflow.
• Communicate effectively with production supervisors, warehouse staff, and other team members to coordinate material movements.
• Report any issues or delays that may impact production schedules.

• Familiarity with handling and transporting materials within a corrugated manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with palletizing and stacking procedures.
• Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory.
