Job summary

Premier Packaging in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a dedicated forklift operator for the 3rd shift. You will safely move and stack corrugated materials, load/unload trucks, and support inventory control within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires 1–3 years of forklift experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance, and a commitment to safety. Competitive pay, bi-weekly pay frequency, and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Lift up to 25 lbs alone; up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• 1-3 years experience as forklift operator in manufacturing/warehouse setting.
• Experience with different types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, clamp, etc.)
• Forklift certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with palletizing and stacking procedures.
• Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklift to move, stack, and transport materials.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas using forklift.
• Transport materials to production areas and ensure timely delivery.
• Assist in the organization and management of inventory within the facility.
• Conduct regular counts and checks to ensure accurate inventory levels.
• Adjust to changes in material handling requirements based on production demands.
• Collaborate with other forklift operators and team members to optimize workflow.
• Communicate effectively with production supervisors, warehouse staff, and other team members to coordinate material movements.
• Report any issues or delays that may impact production schedules.
