Job summary

Premier Packaging in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator for 3rd shift. You will safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move corrugated materials, load/unload, and support production flow on a fast-paced manufacturing floor.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, 11pm-7am, with bi-weekly pay, benefits including insurance and 401(k). Prior forklift experience and certification preferred; 18+ years old required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Lift up to 25 lbs alone and up to 50 lbs assisted.
• 1-3 years experience as forklift operator in manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Experience with different types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, clamp).
• Forklift certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with palletizing and stacking procedures.
• Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down and/or stand-up forklift to move, stack, and transport corrugated materials within the manufacturing facility.
• Load and unload corrugated materials from trucks and storage areas using the forklift.
• Transport materials to and from production areas, ensuring timely delivery.
• Assist in the organization and management of inventory within the facility.
• Conduct regular counts and checks to ensure accurate inventory levels.
• Adjust to changes in material handling requirements based on production demands.
• Collaborate with other forklift operators and team members to optimize workflow.
• Communicate effectively with production supervisors, warehouse staff, and other team members to coordinate material movements.
• Report any issues or delays that may impact production schedules.
