Job summary

Tyson Foods is hiring a Forklift Operator for 1st shift in a facility that operates seven days a week. The role supports loading, unloading and processing products in the warehouse with a forklift, and orientation will include re-training and certification.

Candidates must be able to work in cold storage, pass a health assessment and drug screening, and may be cross-trained as needed. The position offers a daytime schedule from 7:00am to 3:00pm with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of continuous work history with a single employer in the last 12 months.
• Prefer: forklift or warehouse experience (3 months)
• Full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, digits and legs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• May use corrective lenses if needed.
• PPE provided for additional hearing protection as needed.
• Cold storage experience preferred.
• Must pass post-offer health assessment and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Move around the work area at a fast pace during an 8-hour shift.
• Follow Tyson policies and safety guidelines.
• Be available for overtime and weekend requirements to meet deadlines.
• Work in a fast-paced cold storage environment.
• Be cross-trained and moved to other areas as needed; stand 8 hours on hard floors in extreme cold.
