Job summary

MSI Express, Inc. is a contract manufacturing and packaging company seeking a Warehouse Operator to move, load, unload, pick and count merchandise using forklift and other power equipment.

You will follow ERP-based SOPs and maintain accurate inventory records while meeting production standards. Responsibilities include unloading inbound shipments, stocking merchandise, preparing orders for shipment, conducting inventories, and ensuring OSHA and MSDS compliance.

Qualifications

  • Overtime as needed.
  • Follow work procedures and safety rules.
  • Read, understand and follow directions.
  • Operate automated inventory control equipment as required.
  • Able to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Stand/walk/sit for long periods during shift.

Responsibilities

  • Unload inbound shipments and move product within a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
  • Efficiently stock and store merchandise in appropriate areas.
  • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using power equipment.
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment or production, ensuring correct quantity and type.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy with record-keeping and reporting.
  • Follow OSHA and MSDS standards at all times.
  • Report quality variances to supervisor.
  • Keep facility equipment and materials neat, clean and in good condition.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Operate ERP system when moving inventory per SOPs.
  • Follow company policies including general manufacturing and safety practices.
  • Support food safety and quality within their influence.

Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for operating material handling equipment for the purpose of moving, loading, unloading, picking, and counting merchandise in accordance with production standards. Uses Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system when moving merchandise, loading and unloading product in accordance with material SOPs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY
  • Unload inbound shipments and move product within a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
  • Efficiently stock and store merchandise in appropriate areas.
  • Loading, unloading, moving, stocking, and staging products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment.
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment or production ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
  • Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
  • Report quality variances to supervisor or materials manager.
  • Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, orderly fashion.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Uses ERP system moving inventory/product in accordance with SOPs.
  • Follow all company policies including but not limited to general manufacturing and safety practices.
  • This position has responsibility for Food Safety and Quality within their influence.
  • The associate in this job has the responsibility to report, in a timely manner, Food Safety and Quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action on those problems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
CAPABILITY PROFILE

  • Have appropriate eye, hand and foot coordination to properly use various equipment and/or tools

  • Ability to mount and dismount forklift through the duration of the shift which requires bending, stretching, stepping, reaching, climbing and stooping
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift
