Job Description

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a department. The candidate will perform job‑related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility, as assigned. Candidate is responsible for inspecting and processing freight safely and correctly, detail oriented, and good with reading numbers. Load, unload, fill orders, pack, process, and verify freight accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Communicate verbally or in writing with individuals or groups (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
• Maintain quality and accuracy of inventory by inspecting freight and products for correct quantities and conditions, and moving freight manually or with powered equipment.
• Ensure LOS goals are met for unloading trailers by monitoring unloaders and arrival times.
• Inform management about unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures.
• Use freight handling equipment safely and correctly.
• Enter and locate information on a computer or system communication device.

Qualifications

• Prior warehousing experience.
• Detail‑oriented and good with reading numbers.
• Able to use adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing to correctly verify incoming freight.
• Lifting 50+ pounds.
• Communication skills.
