Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking a forklift operator to load and unload materials, move goods within the facility, and support production with timely material flow.

You will follow safety procedures, operate forklifts per OSHA guidelines, and maintain accurate records using basic computer tools. This role emphasizes careful handling, quality checks, and safe storage of goods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Good math, language, and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required.
• Strong attention to safety and ability to promote a safe work environment.
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
• Execute assignments accurately, timely, and safely.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to and from designated areas per production schedule.
• Provide stock to production machines as required.
• Load and unload goods from vehicles.
• Move goods around storage facility on pallets or slip sheets.
• Stack goods in correct storage bays and verify inventory.
• Ensure loads are secure and perform daily forklift checks per OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to RF scanner use and record-keeping where applicable.

Job description

Position Overview

Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities.

Responsibilities

• Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility.
• Provide raw or WHIP stock to production machines per the production schedule.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles.
• Moving goods packed on pallets or slip sheets around the storage facility.
• Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.
• Checking loads are secure.
• Stacking empty pallets.
• Performing daily equipment checks on the Forklifts, per OSHA guidelines.
• Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines.
• Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Dumping materials into machine hoppers.
• Any other job duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required.
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
• Maintain a clean & safe environment.
• May be required to use an RF scanner gun.
• Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator's license may be required.
• Forklift certification per OSHA standards.
• Class A license preferred, but not required.
