Job summary

Green Bay Packaging in Wisconsin is seeking a Forklift Operator to load, unload, and move materials across the facility in accordance with production schedules. You will operate powered industrial trucks, maintain records, and ensure loads are secure and compliant with safety guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math and reading skills, and a valid forklift certification. A clean driving record and willingness to follow OSHA standards are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Good math, language, and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required.
  • High degree of attention to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
  • Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
  • Execute assignments accurately, timely and safely.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • May be required to use an RF scanner gun.
  • Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator's license may be required.
  • Forklift certification per OSHA standards.
  • Class A license preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility.
  • Provide raw or WHIP stock to production machines per the production schedule.
  • Loading and unloading goods from vehicles.
  • Moving goods packed on pallets or slip sheets around the storage facility.
  • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.
  • Checking loads are secure.
  • Stacking empty pallets.
  • Performing daily equipment checks on the Forklifts, per OSHA guidelines.
  • Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines.
  • Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Dumping materials into machine hoppers.
  • Any other job duties that may be assigned.
