Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking a forklift operator to load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility. You will operate powered industrial trucks to transfer goods between storage areas, machines, and loading docks.

You will follow safety procedures, maintain documentation, and may use RF scanning technology. A high school diploma and forklift certification are required; a clean driving record is preferred.

Qualifications

• Transports material or equipment to designated areas per production schedule.
• Loads and unloads goods from vehicles.
• Moves goods on pallets or slip sheets around the facility.
• Stacks goods in storage bays per inventory control instructions.
• Checks that loads are secure and performs daily forklift checks.

Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities.

Responsibilities

High School diploma or equivalent. Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required. High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment. Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner. Maintain a clean & safe environment.May be required to use an RF scanner gun.Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license may be required.Forklift certification per OSHA standards.

Qualifications

Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility. Provide raw or WHIP stock to production machines per the production schedule.Loading and unloading goods from vehicles.Moving goods packed on pallets or slip sheets around the storage facility.Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions. Checking loads are secure.Stacking empty pallets. Performing daily equipment checks on the Forklifts, per OSHA guidelines. Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines. Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards.Dumping materials into machine hoppers.
