Job summary

Reliance, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator in Marseilles, IL to load/unload inventory and move materials with heavy capacity forklift equipment under supervisor direction.

You will stock areas, log location changes into the inventory system, and assemble orders per work orders while maintaining safety and accuracy. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business need.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Fork truck experience (heavy capacity) preferred.
• Experience with steel and material handling.

Responsibilities

Function in the Job

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Job Function

• Responsible for operating fork truck to lift, move, position, reposition steel and heavy material to stock areas.
• Load and unload trailers and railroad cars.
• Able to drive and operate the fork truck in a variety of conditions and spaces.
• Log and report inventory location changes according to specified procedure into inventory computer system and/or by paperwork.

• Log and tag inventory received according to specified procedure
• Assemble customer orders according to work orders
• Record pertinent material information to work orders, material, or other forms as specified by management
• Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
• Works and coordinates with multiple areas of warehouse, and coworkers to complete tasks.
• Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Safety sensitive for his/her owns safety and/or of others safety.
• Demonstrated initiative to proactively seek out work and complete tasks
• Enthusiastic team player with a motivating positive attitude

Required Skills

• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and write
• Preferred candidates will have heavy capacity fork truck experience, material handling experience, and experience working with steel.

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $22.00/Hr. - USD $23.00/Hr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
