Job description

Summary

The Forklift Operator oversees loading & unloading materials utilizing a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift. They maintain a clean and safe work environment and identify any discrepancies in receiving loads against manifest.

Responsibilities

• Utilize manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers to load and unload trucks.
• Perform material handling duties such as picking, packing, scanning, kitting (as applicable), counting products and other related tasks.
• Ensure timeliness, packaging, and system work is completed accurately.
• Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jacks, etc.
• Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ensure a safe and secure work environment including all TSA and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred – 1 year experience.
• Must be able to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding/shrink wrap material.
• Experience using an RF scan gun required.
• Previous forklift certifications preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, occasional weekends.
• Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well.
• Must have the ability to work well with others with little supervision.
• High attention to detail required.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. unassisted.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Must have turret or cherry/Order picker certification.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, frequently stooping, kneeling, crouching, using hands, reaching, bending and lifting objects above the head. Employees must be able to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted and use pallet jacks and forklifts.

Schedule

Monday – Friday 3:30PM – 12:00AM.

Pay Range

$20.50 an hour.
