Job summary

CTDI is seeking a Forklift Operator in West Chester, PA. The role involves safely operating PIT equipment to move, stack, and count products, ensuring accurate loading and inventory control.

The position is an on-site, full-time role with a 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM shift, Monday through Friday. Requirements include at least 1 year of warehouse equipment experience, PIT certification maintenance, basic computer skills (Excel/Outlook), and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience with warehouse distribution equipment or similar
  • Must maintain PIT certification per CTDI requirements
  • Demonstrates thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion
  • Basic computer skills; proficient with MS Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to designated locations
  • Stack and store products using forklift or other powered equipment
  • Pull and prepare products for shipment ensuring correct quantity and type
  • Move products from staging or storage to trailers and production floor
  • Operate equipment safely following warehouse standards and regulations
  • Report any PIT-related incidents to supervision and maintain records for inventory control

Description

Forklift Operator is responsible for operating Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting products/materials.

1st Shift: 7:00AM - 3:00PM, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

  • Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to appropriate locations.
  • Stacks and stores products in designated areas using a forklift, push-pull, or other powered equipment.
  • Pulls and prepares products for shipment by ensuring the exact number and type of product is loaded.
  • Moves product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers and the production floor.
  • Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following the established warehouse safety standards/regulations.
  • Immediately report any incidents or accidents involving PIT equipment to a Supervisor/Manager.
  • Maintains appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and security.
  • Assists in physical inventories.
  • May require performing picking duties in an efficient manner.
  • All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least 1 years’ experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with CTDI's PIT certification requirements.
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office (Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus
  • Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Written and verbal communication skills

Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Warehouse environment
  • The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs., if necessary
  • The ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time, if necessary
  • The ability to bend, push, pull, twist, and reach in a continuous/repetitive capacity, if necessary
