Job summary

General Mills’ Wellston, OH manufacturing facility is seeking a Forklift Operator to support production, warehouse and distribution operations. You will operate forklifts and high reach equipment, load outbound shipments, and handle raw materials according to specifications.

Starting pay is $21.80–$22.05 per hour with a $0.25 shift differential on 2nd/3rd shifts, plus benefits and potential overtime. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Forklift license/certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience in manufacturing/production preferred.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • English communication in workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift and high reach equipment in production, warehouse and distribution.
  • Select, prepare, and load product for outbound shipment per customer specifications.
  • Store raw materials, ingredients or finished product.
  • Receive, unload, and inspect inbound ingredients/packaging materials.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance.
  • Assist in training new employees.
