Please be aware that some schedules may include up to six days a week.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAs part of our manufacturing team, you will:Install, maintain, repair, and replace industrial processing and packaging machinery, work tools, and equipment, including wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, motors, AC/DC motor drives, and circuit boardsConduct preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLCs, sensors, and other control devicesPerform electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of industrial machinery and control systems to quickly resolve equipment issues and reduce downtimeRead and interpret electrical schematics, single‑line diagrams, equipment manuals, and work orders to plan and complete work.Safely work on energized and de‑energized circuits in accordance with all plant safety procedures and applicable electrical codes.Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts to eliminate recurring electrical failures and improve equipment performance.Collaborate closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and other plant teams to plan work, prioritize tasks, and support production needs.Accurately document work performed, parts used, and findings in the computerized maintenance management system.Maintain tools, test equipment, and work areas in clean, safe, and organized condition.Assists in training new employees as neededAttend meetings and training courses as requiredPerform additional related tasks as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment is requiredDemonstrated experience with industrial electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair of motors, drives, and control circuits.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.Experience with PLC’s, VFD’s or Instrumentation a plusComputer skills: Proficiency in standard computer software is required (e.g., navigating Windows‑based programs, completing basic data entry, using email and maintenance or inventory systems).Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periodsWillingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditionsAbility to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platformsAbility to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standardsAbility to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergensELIGIBILITYApplicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER (EOE)General Mills is an equal opportunity employer.
