Staffmark Group in Walton Hills, OH is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely move, load, unload, and transport materials within a busy warehouse. The role uses RF scanners and WMS systems to ensure accurate inventory records and timely shipments.

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with at least 1 year of sit-down forklift experience and a strong safety focus. You’ll work Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:00 PM, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to move, load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks while ensuring product accuracy and safety.
• Use scanning equipment to track inventory and maintain accurate records.
• Complete shipping, receiving, and warehouse paperwork as required.
• Verify shipments and document inventory movement.
• Follow established safety procedures and report any safety concerns or damaged materials.
• Maintain an organized work area and support daily warehouse operations.
• Work closely with team members to ensure efficient material flow and timely shipments.

Job Duties

• Verify shipments and document inventory movement.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of sit-down forklift experience required.
• Proven ability to operate a standard forklift with 6-foot forks.
• Experience safely loading and unloading trucks in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Experience with inventory scanning, shipping/receiving documentation, and warehouse paperwork.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe material handling practices.
• Must be a cautious and safety-focused forklift operator.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
