Job summary

BD in the United States is seeking a Warehouse Associate to perform receiving and shipment tasks and to operate a forklift as part of a fast-paced distribution team. You will move inventory, load/unload trucks, and support a FEFO-based picking process.

You will locate and replenish picking locations, train on RF functions, and uphold GMP and safety standards while ensuring accurate documentation and dependable attendance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with material handling equipment (forklifts).
  • Certified/licensed to operate MHE.
  • Minimum 1 year experience using an RF scanner.

Responsibilities

  • Unload inbound trucks and load outbound trucks.
  • Locate and retrieve products; replenish picking locations using FEFO.
  • Move pallets on dock and operate forklift safely.
  • Train new hires on RF functions and follow GDP/SOPs.
  • Maintain a clean, GMP-compliant work area and reliable attendance.

Schedule: Mon - Fri, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Position Summary

This position performs warehouse/material distribution tasks relative to the receiving and shipment of product. Moves inventory by operating a forklift.

Essential Roles
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Unloads inbound trucks (inter-company deliveries, vendors, etc.)
  • Loads outbound trucks (inter-company shipments, off-site warehouse, etc.)
  • Locates and retrieves products as well as replenishes picking locations using FEFO methodology.
  • Moves pallets on dock.
  • May be required to physically stack/transport product from larger sterilization pallet to regular pallet before moving by forklift to dock.
  • Ensures all assigned duties are safely completed in a timely manner in accordance with department standards and by following department procedures.
  • Maintains an acceptable work area as in GMPs.
  • Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
  • Must take safety first and work diligently to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedure designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.
  • Perform warehouse associate duties.
  • Train new hires on RF functions.
  • Regular and reliable attendance at work.
  • Safety shoes required for position.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience of 1 year consecutive relevant experience
  • 1 year minimum experience with MHE (forklifts) like Reach Trucks, required
  • Certified/Licensed to operate material handling equipment.
  • Minimum 1 year experience using an RF scanner
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities
  • Ability to work Mon - Fri, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
  • Ability to read and interpret distribution documents
  • Ability to work under minimal direction
  • Proficiency in working in an environment dedicated to measuring performance
  • Concentrate and be on alert at all times
  • Work well with others.
  • Safe operation of MHE.

  • Must have good basic math skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems, interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form and adapt to shifting priorities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to episodes of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting, frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel, pick or type which can include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands or fingers.

The employee may occasionally climb.

The job may require lifting over 50 lbs in some areas but not all.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work near moving mechanical parts, work in high, precarious places, and extreme weather conditions.

Occasionally the position will have exposure to fumes/airborne particles.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
