Role Summary

The core responsibilities of this role include: Loading and unloading shipments of various sizes, using equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks.

Position Details

• Position: First (1st) Shift Forklift Operator
• Shift: Rotating Day Shift 6AM - 6PM
• Pay: $19.00 per hour
• Additional Incentives: $2.00 shift premium for weekend days

Preferred Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience operating various forklifts.

Role Purpose

Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock within our warehouse environment, loading and unloading shipments, and using various types of equipment. The environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and safety-focused. You will be an essential part of everyday life at DHL.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using forklifts or other power equipment (80% of shift)
• Prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy
• Maintain inventory records and reports
• Follow OSHA and MSDS standards
• Verify load accuracy and report variances
• Change equipment batteries or LP tanks as needed
• Keep equipment and materials organized and clean
• Assist with physical inventories
• Conduct daily equipment inspections
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Forklift operator certification or completion of a forklift training program within 30 days of employment
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
• Six months of warehouse experience (preferred)
• Six months of forklift operation experience
