We are looking for a reliable, safety-minded Forklift Operator to join our growing distribution center team in Trenton, Ohio. This role is essential to maintaining efficient warehouse operations by safely moving, storing, loading, and unloading products while ensuring customer orders are accurately prepared and shipped on time.
Shifts Available:
Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM 2-2-3 Rotating Cycle
Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM 2-2-3 Rotating Cycle
As a Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in supporting daily warehouse operations by:
- Safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Loading and unloading trailers according to customer and company specifications
- Transporting and storing inventory in designated warehouse locations
- Picking mixed pallets and staging orders for shipment
- Using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory movement
- Reviewing packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping documents for accuracy
- Inspecting inbound and outbound shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies
- Conducting daily forklift inspections and reporting maintenance concerns
- Wrapping, banding, labeling, and preparing pallets for shipment
- Assisting with cycle counts, inventory audits, and location verification
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Following all company safety policies and operational procedures
- Supporting additional warehouse and distribution activities as assigned
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- Previous forklift operating experience (required)
- Experience using RF scanners and warehouse technology (required)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and product verification
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 pounds
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as needed
- Ability to perform repetitive movements and material handling tasks
- Fast-paced warehouse and distribution center setting
- Frequent interaction with forklifts, trailers, and warehouse machinery
- Exposure to varying seasonal temperatures
- Moderate to high noise levels
- Occasional manual labor and material handling responsibilities
