Job summary

Findlay Tall Timbers Distribution Center is seeking a dependable Second Shift Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse operations, moving, storing, and handling inventory using powered equipment while ensuring accuracy in receiving, storage, and shipping.

Under the supervision of a Senior Supervisor / Lead Forklift Operator, you will safely operate forklifts, load outbound freight, and record movements in RF devices and WMS, maintaining inventory accuracy in a fast-moving distribution

Qualifications

• Forklift experience in a warehouse/logistics environment.
• Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Basic arithmetic for inventory verification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to transport inventory within the facility.
• Load outbound freight per customer and carrier requirements.
• Place inventory in designated storage locations and maintain organization.
• Assemble customer orders, including mixed-pallets when required.
• Use RF devices and WMS to record product movement.
• Assist with cycle counts and location audits.
• Prepare outbound shipments with wrapping, labeling, and staging.
• Support general warehouse functions as needed.

We are seeking a dependable and safety focused Second Shift Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for moving, storing, and handling inventory using powered industrial equipment while ensuring accuracy in receiving, storage, and shipping activities. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-moving distribution environment.

Reporting Relationship: Senior Supervisor / Lead Forklift Operator

Key Duties:

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport inventory throughout the facility.
• Load outbound freight according to customer and carrier requirements.
• Place inventory in assigned storage locations while maintaining warehouse organization standards.
• Assemble customer orders, including mixed-pallet selections when required.
• Utilize handheld RF devices and warehouse management systems to record product movement and transactions.
• Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts and location audits.
• Prepare outbound shipments by wrapping, securing, labeling, and staging pallets. Follow established safety procedures and maintain compliance with warehouse operating standards.
• Support general warehouse functions and perform additional responsibilities as business needs dictate

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous forklift experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution setting.
• Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
• Experience with BlueYonder preferred
• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
• Basic arithmetic skills for counting and inventory verification.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with limited supervision.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be able to:

• Frequently stand and move throughout the work shift.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Perform occasional bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, and kneeling.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment for extended periods.

Work Conditions

This position is based within a distribution and warehouse environment and may involve:

• Interaction with powered industrial equipment and moving inventory.
• Exposure to varying noise levels typical of warehouse operations.
• Working both inside warehouse facilities and outdoors when necessary.
• Temperature fluctuations influenced by seasonal weather conditions.
