Job summary

The candidate will be responsible for safe forklift operation, proper product placement, and accurate documentation, with opportunities for cross-training in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience operating similar equipment preferred.
• Must be forklift certified and able to read safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely to move product to Inventory and during loading.
• Ensure proper rotation and placement of finished goods.
• Label, package, and prepare products for inventory and shipment.
• Verify packaging and pallet safety before loading for shipment.
• Complete daily paperwork and inspection reports for equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary

Employee works under the general supervision of the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager on routine duties following standard policies and procedures. Refers problems and questions to the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely to move product into inventory/onto and off truck
• Ensure proper rotation and placement of finished goods
• Properly label product and package product for inventory
• Ensure packaged quantities are correct and quality is up to standards
• Load trucks with finished product for delivery
• Before loading product for shipment ensure packaging and pallet are safe and adequate for shipment
• Complete Daily paperwork including inspection reports for equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Manufacturing/industrial environment experience preferred
• At least 2 years of experience operating similar equipment
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions
• Open to work day or night shift as needed
• Forklift Certified
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds each, with assistance if needed, at heights from floor level to 4 feet high
• Must wear company provided personal protective equipment - earplugs, hard hat, safety boots/shoes\*, and protective glasses
• Candidates must provide their own safety boots/shoes upon hire and will be eligible to participate in Safety Boots/Shoe Reimbursement Program after 30 days of employment
