Oldcastle APG in Florida is seeking a forklift operator to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, loading and unloading materials and moving pallets. The role requires attention to safety, the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and a willingness to work flexible schedules.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of forklift experience and strong customer service skills. This position involves yard inventory, loading accuracy, and adherence to production procedures in a busy facility.

Job Summary

This position requires operating a forklift on both paved and unpaved surfaces. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, covered and uncovered manufacturing facility.

Job Responsibilities

• Position forks, lifting platform or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products or materials
• Transport materials to designated area
• Unload and stacks materials
• Inventory materials on yard
• Maintain yard and work area in a clean and safe manner
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision in ensuring customers are loaded as scheduled without undue delay
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in operating a forklift to load and unload materials in a manufacturing/retail distribution environment
• Excellent customer service skills are required
• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
• Ability to follow company production and safety procedures
• Ability to pass internal certification training
• Willing to work flexible schedules/overtime as required
• Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. from ground level
• Able to work in a dusty environment
