Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is seeking a forklift operator at our North Salt Lake facility. The role involves moving finished goods, labeling, and loading trucks with an emphasis on safety and accuracy in paperwork.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret loading slips, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• General computer skills or experience with ERP systems including tablets and scanners preferred.
• Follow all safety procedures and carry out instructions, written and oral.
• Math skills including basic arithmetic and understanding units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely to move product into inventory and onto/off trucks.
• Ensure proper rotation and placement of finished goods.
• Label and package products for inventory; ensure accuracy of quantities.
• Load trucks for delivery; ensure packaging and pallets are safe for shipment.
• Complete daily paperwork including inspection reports for equipment.

Job Summary

Operate Forklift Safely to move product into inventory/onto and off a truck

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure proper rotation and placement of finished goods
• Properly label product and package product for inventory
• Ensure packaged quantities are correct and quality is up to standards
• Load trucks with the finished product for delivery
• Before loading product for shipment ensure packaging and pallet are safe and adequate for shipment
• Complete Daily paperwork including inspection reports for equipment

Job Requirements

• At least a High school diploma or GED equivalent and at least 1 year of related work experience
• Ability to read and interpret loading slips, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• General computer skills or experience working with ERP systems including tablets and scanners preferred
• Follow all safety procedures
• Ability to carry out instructions, both written and oral
• Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and understanding of units of measure
• Ability to work any shift
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Forklift Certified
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
