Job Purpose:The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials and assets throughout the facility. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient warehouse operations by managing the flow of goods and assets in a timely manner, adhering to company safety standards, and assisting with other warehouse functions as needed.Responsibilities:- Operate forklifts or other powered industrial vehicles to load, unload, move, or stack assets, equipment, and materials.
- Transport materials between various departments or storage areas, ensuring safe handling of all assets.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities by moving assets to designated locations and updating records.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure safety and report any mechanical issues to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with company health and safety policies.
- Track and record all asset movements accurately in the inventory management system to support inventory control.
- Support the warehouse team in general tasks, such as packing, labeling, and quality checks, as required.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and task completion.
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a forklift operator, with familiarity in moving various types of assets and materials.
- Valid Forklift Operator certification required.
- Must be able to clear background check
