Responsibilities

• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations
• Stack and store merchandise in designated areas using a forklift, clamp, push-pull or other powered equipment
• Pull and prepare products for shipment
• Ensure correct quantity and type of product are loaded and shipped
• Perform picking duties meeting customer service standards
• Move product from staging/storage into trailers
• Operate all equipment safely following prescribed methods
• Maintain records for inventory control and security
• Assist in physical inventories
• Ensure proper stock rotation
• Conduct cycle counts as requested

Spherion is looking for Forklift Operators in South Bend, IN.

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating material handling equipment including a forklift for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking and counting merchandise in a distribution environment.

Open positions are on:

• 1st Shift (Mon-Thur) 7am-5:50pm, $17.50/HR
• 1st Shift (Fri-Sun) 7am-7:30pm, $20.50/HR
• 3rd Shift (Mon-Thur) 6pm-4:30am, $18.50/HR
• 3rd Shift (Fri-Sun) 7pm-7:30am, $21.50/HR

Positions are temp-to hire.

Responsibilities:

• Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations
• Stacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using a forklift, clamp, push-pull or other powered equipment
• Pulls and prepares products for shipment
• Ensures that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped
• Performs picking duties in an efficient manner meeting customer service standards
• Moves product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers
• Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
• Maintains appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and security
• Assists in physical inventories
• Ensures proper stock rotation
• Conducts cycle counts as requested

Working hours: Various Shifts Available

Skills:

• Must have basic computer knowledge and use shipping tools such as hand scanners.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Excel knowledge and general computer knowledge a plus

Education:

• High School

Experience:

• 1-4 years
