Job summary

48forty Solutions LLC is hiring a Forklift Operator in Indianapolis, IN to support loading/unloading pallets, moving wood, and stacking finished products for transport. The role emphasizes safe operation, efficient movement of materials, and teamwork across shifts.

The position requires 1–3 years of forklift experience, preference for warehousing and lumber-related background, and a readiness to work overtime as needed. Competitive hourly pay is offered for 1st and 2nd shifts.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of forklift experience.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, lumber, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to work in a labor intensive environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries of pallets and/or wood to the proper location inside the plant.
• Move freshly cut and recycled wood to the appropriate worktable area.
• Stack finished products into trailers or to storage areas up to a safe height.
• Maintain a safe working environment by lifting, stacking, and transporting materials with all other plant personnel in mind.

Overview

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll get to load and unload trailer with wooden pallets and move pallets inside our plants to keep manufacturing production moving efficiently! We’re looking for a motivated individual who will keep things moving at a safe and efficient pace!

Hourly Pay:

1st Shift - $18.00/hr 2nd Shift -$18.50/hr

Shift(s):

1st Shift Monday - Friday 6:00 AM -2:00 PM

2nd Shift Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Unload deliveries of pallets and/or wood to the proper location inside the plant

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate

• The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
