Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, headquartered in Salina, KS, is seeking a 1st Shift Forklift Operator in the Salina CE Facility to support the Material Handling Department. This full-time role runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.

Responsibilities include safe movement of parts, accurate part identification and delivery, equipment maintenance, and adherence to OSHA safety rules. A forklift license and strong teamwork are preferred.

Qualifications

• Forklift license or ability to obtain one.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understand team concepts and be a strong team player.
• Excel in fast paced, high-pressure situations.
• Ability to use and understand AS400 software.
• Ability to read prints and use tape measure, calipers, etc.

Great Plains Manufacturing is looking for a 1st Shift Forklift Operator to join our team in the Material Handling Department at the Salina Construction Equipment (CE) Facility.

This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations.
• Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment used.
• Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
