Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc. in Salina, KS is seeking a 1st Shift Fab Operator to join our CE facility. The role runs Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as needed.

You will operate fabrication equipment, read prints, use tape measures and calipers, and work adhering to Great Plains and OSHA safety rules. Strong team players with good communication are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and use measurement tools (tape measure, calipers).
• Experience in fabrication operator role is preferred.
• Ability to follow safety regulations and wear protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication equipment in the fabrication department.
• Use AS400 as part of daily tasks.
• Read prints and measure parts with tape measures/calipers.
• Follow all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Fab Operator - 1st Shift - Salina, KS

Great Plains Manufacturing is currently seeking a 1st Shift Fab Operator to join our team at the CE facility in Salina, KS.

This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., plus overtime on Fridays, as required.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Ability to run equipment throughout the fabrication department
• Ability to use and understand AS400
• Ability to read prints and be able to use tape measure, calipers, etc. as required
• Other duties as assigned
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
• Other Duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

Preferred Skills And Requirements

• Fabrication Operator experience in a manufacturing environment helpful
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understand team concepts and be a strong team player
• Excel in fast paced, high-pressure situations
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
