Aerotek in Pleasant Prairie, WI is seeking a Forklift Operator to operate a stand-up forklift, move raw materials to production lines, stage finished goods in the freezer, and load/unload trailers. An RF scan gun is used to document material movement.

This full-time contract-to-hire role is onsite on 2nd shift, 3:45 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays and overtime paid for hours over 8 per shift.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a stand-up forklift to supply production lines with raw materials, stage finished products in the freezer, and load/unload trailers. You will use an RF scan gun to document the movement of materials accurately.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of a Union, with eligibility for benefits starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment. Employees can advance to Operator 2 with a 50-cent raise after 6 months, and to Level 3 with an additional 50-cent raise after 1 year. Additionally, all employees receive a 2.5% annual increase on January 1st each year.

Work Environment

The position is on the 2nd shift, from 3:45 PM to 1 AM, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. Overtime is paid for any hours worked over 8 per shift, with candidates typically working 50+ hours a week. The work takes place in a GMP Food Production Environment, requiring the wearing of an overcoat, gloves, hardhat, ear plugs, safety glasses, and knee-high non-slip rubber boots. The production floor is refrigerated, maintaining temperatures between 30-40 degrees.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
